21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.TEMPTATION was the title of this week's sermon at my church. I know I have shared 1 Corinthians 10:13:
'No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.'Why and how are we so easily seduced by temptation? Why is it so easy to give in to temptation, even when we know that (usually) there will be consequences to pay after giving in? The truth is, you will always be followed by temptation; as human beings we are prone to wander. Satan will never give up trying to break you down.
By the grace of God our sins and temptations are covered by the price that Jesus paid for us on the cross. Hallelujah! I personally find myself having to ask forgiveness too often.
CHALLENGE: Pray that God will keep you from wandering into places that will lead you to temptation.
